KOI.jpg

After living eight years in a horse tank, the koi (Blackie, Butch, Pinky, and Lancer) were placed in their new home. Blackie and Pinky were born in South Dakota in 2002; Butch and Lancer were born in Missouri in 2004. Of the original eight koi, only these four remain.

Finally! Spring!

After one of the longest winters ever recorded for east Tennessee, we had a week of no rain and sunshine. The horses were let out into the pastures, the koi pond was finally built, and the dogs throughly enjoyed the new back deck. Chris started working with the horses, cantering Carasu and teaching Dottie her show manners. Winston once again came running at my call to accept an apple from my hand. Xena lost a black filly, but "Bonnie" grows big with Winston's foal. So continues the cycle of rebirth and we are glad spring is here.Smile
